Chamber To Host Labor Shortage Roundtable

SANTA BARBARA, CA – The Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce – from Goleta to Carpinteria is holding a Labor Shortage Roundtable on Monday, June 7th at 11 a.m. via Zoom to discuss experiences and challenges with the recent crisis in employment. The keynote speaker, Josh Williams from BW Research, will present some recent research on unemployment and recruitment data from our region.
We will hear from several industry leaders including Sherry Villanueva – Acme Hospitality, Don Kendrick – Bega North America, Hilda Maldonado – Santa Barbara Unified School District Superintendent, Angel Sugleris – PlanMember Financial and Trish Miller – Spherion Staffing, on how they are dealing with the labor shortage, best practices and suggestions.
After the speakers, Kristen Miller, President & CEO of the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce, will lead a roundtable discussion with the Zoom participants – answer questions and facilitate dialog.
