Paid Work Experience Information Session

Boost Your Workforce at No Extra Cost!

Take advantage of a FREE Paid Work Experience program offered by the Workforce Development Board, in partnership with the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce!

This unique opportunity is designed to help businesses like yours provide valuable work experience to second-chance hires (individuals who have been justice-involved). By participating, your business can receive 300 hours of work with 100% of wages and liability covered by the Workforce Development Board.

Why Participate?

• No-cost work experience: Businesses provide on-the-job training for second-chance hires, and the Workforce Development Board covers all wages and liability.

• Job-readiness training: Individuals in the program have gone through job readiness training, making them prepared to succeed.

• Interview candidates: You will have the chance to interview and select candidates as you would for any other position.

• Make a difference: Your participation helps create vital employment opportunities for second-chance hires and supports workforce inclusion.

• Additional programs available: Explore other paid work experience opportunities with similar incentives through the Workforce Development Board.
