Salute to Scouting
Event Description
This fundraiser is an eloquent event designed not only to give people an opportunity to come together, but to also recognize two leaders in our community who have helped build character and leadership in the youth of Santa Barbara County: Steve Golis and Bob Burtness. The 7,000 young people who are impacted annually in our local Scouting, Exploring, and The Outdoor School programs will be able to stay on track due to your support. Many of the youth will become your neighbor or employee, some will lead our country, and some will pass on the legacy of Scouting to the next generation; but all will make a positive impact in their communities. On behalf of the Planning Committee, we invite you to have a lasting impact in the local youth by sponsoring this event. Your support will assure that many youths that could not otherwise afford to take advantage of our scouting leadership programs, have that experience afforded to them.
