Meet the Chamber’s Executive Board Member

Curtis Lopez was with Mission Linen Supply serving as their Director of Purchasing. Curtis retired in 2019 after spending twenty-nine years with Mission Linen. Curtis is the immediate past co-chairman of the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce and was a lead architect of the 2020 merger of the Carpinteria Valley, Goleta, and Santa Barbara chambers of commerce.
A member of the chamber’s Executive Committee, Curtis served as co-chairman of the Carpinteria Chamber of Commerce prior to the merger and served three terms on Carpinteria’s board.
A native of Carpinteria, Curtis’ family settled in the Carpinteria Valley in 1860 making him a 6th generation Carpinterian. Aside from numerous trade organizations, Curtis has also served on the Carpinteria Education Foundation, The Carpinteria Lions Community Building Association, Site Committee for the Carpinteria Unified School District, Carpinteria Boys and Girls Club, and The Carpinteria Lions Club.
Curtis was the recipient of the “Carpinterian of the Year” award for 2018.
Curtis and his wife Diane live in Carpinteria and have two adult sons.
