Chamber Hosts Industry Sector Roundtable Summit with County Leadership

The Chamber, in partnership with the Santa Maria Valley Chamber and the Workforce Development Board of Santa Barbara County, was proud to host the Santa Barbara County Industry Sector Roundtable Summit. County leadership and various other stakeholder organizations throughout the county came together to hear from representatives of 8 comprehensive industry sectors, ranging from Aerospace to Hospitality. 

Participants heard from industry sector representatives on the top 6 categories of policy recommendations to come out of the 6+ month long industry sector roundtables project related to housing, childcare, workforce, electricity, tourism & hospitality, and permit reform & broadband strategic planning. The important conversations at the Summit were only the first step in increasing the collaborative efforts needed to address the challenges faced by our local economy.
