CalSavers Retirement Plan

Last week California State Treasurer Fiona Ma held a zoom meeting to provide information on the CalSavers Retirements Savings Program, or CalSavers. If you are an employer with 5 or more employees you are required to give your employees access to CalSavers unless you already offer a company-sponsored retirement plan, such as a 401(k). The deadline to adopt the new program has been predicated on employee headcount: more than 100 employees by September 30, 2020, more than 50 employees by June 30, 2021 and 5 or more employees by June 30, 2022.
