Chamber Congratulates Newly Elected Officials

Last Thursday, November 4th, the winners of the City of Santa Barbara’s 2021 elections were finalized. Randy Rowse will bring 37 years of experience as a local business owner and 9 years of experience as a city councilmember as he takes on his new role as Santa Barbara’s mayor. Rowse’s dual experience makes him well-equipped to guide Santa Barbara through its strong economic recovery. Kristen Sneddon, who has cautioned a careful and well-thought-out planning process for the Downtown Promenade, will be moving into her second term as District 4’s city councilmember. Eric Friedman has always made community feedback a top priority and ran unopposed for his position as city councilmember, clearly having the strong support of District 5’s voters. Meagan Harmon, who is continuing as District 6’s city councilmember, has emphasized the need for removing onerous permitting processes and partnering with the business community as a means of economic recovery. The Chamber congratulates these winners for their victories in this exciting election cycle.
