Chamber Hosts State Street Business Roundtable on State Street Master Plan

B2B Block (29)

Last week the Chamber hosted local business representatives for a discussion on the economic development and business impacts of the State Street Master Plan, the City of Santa Barbara’s current effort to plan for the long-term vision and future of State Street. Joined by the City’s State Street Master Planner, Tess Harris, over 30 local businesses representatives weighed in on various topics related to the State Street Master Plan, like deliveries to State Street businesses, shuttles, districts and placemaking, activations and sense of place, bicyclist presence on State Street, outdoor dining, and options for cars on State Street.

The Chamber plans to host additional discussions on this topic to do a deeper dive on specific industry impacts and topics related to the State Street Master Plan and is working with the City and local businesses to arrange the next meeting.
