News8

The Chamber is proud to continue regional efforts that connect employers, educators, and community partners to build stronger, more inclusive workforce pipelines for the benefit of both local employers and job seekers. Through funding from a strategic Uplift Catalyst grant managed by the Chamber, a new collaboration has launched hands-on semiconductor-manufacturing courses at UCSB, designed to upskill local talent and provide direct pathways into precision manufacturing careers. This initiative highlights the Chamber’s commitment to supporting workforce development opportunities for key industry sectors. While grant-funded efforts are currently focused on advanced manufacturing, the Chamber continues to pursue a broader goal of ensuring all industries across the South Coast can access a strong, locally developed talent pool. By convening partners and leveraging support for existing programs, the Chamber is committed to helping shape a more resilient, future-ready workforce for the entire region.
