Public Policy – City of Carpinteria Update

The Chamber’s Public Policy Committee recently featured Carpinteria City Councilmember Natalia Alarcon and Peter Dugre Executive Director of CARP Growers. Councilmember Alarcon gave an update on proposed projects including

The Surfliner Inn, AutoCamp, and the 700 block mixed-use development.

 

Peter Durgre gave an overview of the history of Carpinteria Agriculture…Flowers to Cannabis, farming regulations, economic impacts, tax revenue, 93013 Fund, and community involvement.
