Ramada Santa Barbara Team Member Honored for Heroic Acts & Outstanding Hospitality

The Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber proudly congratulates Chamber President’s Circle member Ramada by Wyndham Santa Barbara and their exceptional team member, Daniel “Danny” De La Cruz, who was recently honored with the prestigious Heart of the House Award at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ 2025 Global Conference. Danny was recognized for his incredible heroism and dedication, having saved not one, but two lives while on duty—once by rescuing and performing CPR on a child who fell into the hotel’s pond, and another by performing the Heimlich maneuver on a choking guest. Danny’s bravery and compassion exemplify the very best of our hospitality community, and we celebrate this well-deserved recognition. Read full press release
