The Classroom Hosted Industry Partnerships (CHIP) program aims to provide industry guided work-based learning for students in local high school Career Technical Education classrooms.
In Santa Barbara County CHIP was successfully piloted at Carpinteria High School's "Warrior Workshop" in 2026, with a focus on partnerships with five local technology and manufacturing employers: CMC Rescue, PseuodolithIC, UCSB NanoFab, Rincon Engineering, and Toyon Research.
The CHIP program is exploring partnerships with additional classrooms throughout southern Santa Barbara County, based upon employer interest. Current classrooms seeking industry partners include:
