Remembering Steve Hyslop

The Santa Barbara community is deeply saddened by the loss of Steve Hyslop, a pillar of our hospitality community and a respected leader. Steve’s journey began humbly at Chuck’s of Hawaii where he started as a dishwasher and rose to management. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-own and manage beloved establishments like The Endless Summer Bar-Café and Chuck’s Waterfront Grill, leaving a legacy in our culinary scene. Steve’s leadership as president of the Greater Santa Barbara Lodging & Restaurant Association earned him accolades such as the Chamber’s 2014 Small Businessman of the Year and the Hospitality Star of the Year in 2015.
