Chamber Members Tour Gridstor
The Chamber recently partnered with GridStor to provide members of the South Coast Tech Roundtable an opportunity to tour GridStor’s Goleta Energy Storage facility. The large-scale battery storage facility contributes to our local grid by bolstering reliability through moment-to-moment grid stabilization and storing even more midday solar power for delivery in the evening. The tour included highlights of the facility’s state-of-the-art security features and protocols, ensuring that this important infrastructure also keeps our community safe.
Attendees included engineers interested in learning more about the facility’s functions and advanced manufacturing representatives concerned about electricity reliability in the region. We are grateful to have GridStor in our community, which is why they are featured in the Chamber’s Power On document as a great private solution to gaps in our local grid.
