Chamber Workforce Development Working Session Ignites Collaboration
The Chamber recently held the first large-group Workforce Development Working Session as part of current efforts to connect education partners with Technology and Manufacturing employers to create additional opportunities for the local workforce and to learn about job opportunities in the industry. At the meeting the Chamber was joined by 12 education partners and 20 employers in the technology and manufacturing industry. The working session was a great opportunity for the employers to learn about the various resources available to them to offer a streamlined internship, externship, or apprenticeship program. In May the Chamber will be hosting a matchmaking event that will connect local job and internship seekers with various local employers looking to expand their internship opportunities.
