Bobby Dommeyer

Front of House Manager | La Paloma

Be A People Person

The spirit of giving and service to others is something Bobby Dommeyer’s mom taught him at an early age, which provided him with the ingredients for success in the hospitality industry. He loves the opportunity to create amazing experiences for people to connect through the breaking of bread and being together at the table.

Bobby started as a food runner at Fess Parker’s Wine County Inn, where he realized he enjoyed talking to and engaging with people of varying interests and experiences. From there, he was promoted to server, then went on to work at breweries, casual and fine dining establishments, and a winery, soaking up every opportunity to hone his craft. Now, as the front-of-house manager at La Paloma Café, he uses his passion for hospitality and knowledge of people to provide a world-class dining experience for each guest. He enjoys making people feel welcome and at home in the restaurant, whether it’s just down the street from their house or a vacation destination.

He says the hospitality industry is the ideal place for those who can show empathy and compassion while staying calm in unexpected and challenging situations, and his tip for success:

treat celebrities like locals and locals like celebrities.
