International Women’s Day Highlights

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Chamber, in collaboration with Agilent Technologies Women in Tech, hosted a leadership lunch on Thursday, March 6. Kristen Miller, President and CEO of the Chamber, was the main speaker, joined by an inspiring lineup of speakers including Nina Green, VP of the Companion Diagnostics Group at Agilent Technologies; Melissa Lalum, Sr. Manager of Content Production at LinkedIn; and Carolina Zapata from Agilent Technologies. The panel shared insights on the impact of women in technology, their personal journeys and mentorship, and the evolving career opportunities in the field. The event provided an opportunity to celebrate and empower women in leadership and technology.

On Saturday, March 8, Chamber President & CEO Kristen Miller had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the UCSB Women’s Softball game against UC Riverside. This exciting moment marked another iconic day for women making moves, coinciding with International Women’s Day. It was a powerful celebration of women’s strength and achievements, both on and off the field.
