Recently the Chamber held a South Coast Tech Roundtable on Energy Reliability and Resiliency. The Tech Roundtables are a quarterly meeting of South Coast tech and manufacturing representatives meant to provide networking and discuss a specific topic as it relates to the tech and manufacturing industry.

The Tech Roundtable on Energy Reliability and Resiliency featured a quick discussion on the promotion of the South Coast as a hub of technology, manufacturing, and innovation, before moving into presentations from guest speakers Southern California Edison (SCE) and BEGA North America. SCE presented to the group on the current state of energy reliability in the region, and BEGA shared their best practices learned from their recent solar and battery project at their facility in Carpinteria.

The next South Coast Tech Roundtable will take place in Q2 of 2023 and will focus on housing barriers and solutions as they relate to the South Coast and specifically, the local technology and manufacturing industry.
